Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated and passionate about what they do. President Nelson Mandela

Foreward from Ravi:
I have developed “The Armchair Criminal” as a platform for knowledge sharing. This is primarily designed for the benefit of those who are new to the Legal Profession and for those who are reading for their professional qualifications or academic courses. What I have said here is based on my understanding of the relevant subject. By no means do I profess to know any better than anyone else. In fact, I would encourage each and every one of you to read and do your own research, as there is no substitute for that. Like most disciplines the more law you read the easier it becomes. But unfortunately, for one reason or another, some of us do very little.
My hope is to impart the little that I know and its practical application. For one thing, I was never an academic who was good at answering essay-type questions. I always preferred tackling the solution to problems. When taking down notes the student often fails to distinguish between the seminar moderator’s opinion and the law. That is neither useful nor or helpful and I have therefore adopted the style of questions and answer sessions. I think it was Albert Einstein who said that “if you can’t explain it to a six-year-old, you don’t understand it yourself”. Adopting those wise words, I have tried to break down each of the subjects as best as I can, and I hope that you will find these discussions helpful and enjoyable. Sit back and relax.
God Bless
