Growing up I always knew I wasn't my parents favorite kid. I wasn't treated bad, but my brothers were always treated better than me. My birthday parties were only a home made cake, 2 guests max and no presents, while my brother's had store bought cakes, as many friends as they wanted to invite and presents for them. This is only one example but people with parents like mine will understand. Also, my brothers were encouraged to attend college and received financial help from my parents for it.
