“I wish to have a face that people wouldn’t be scared of”

“I was only five years old when lumps started forming on my face. With passing time, those lumps grew bigger and the right half of my face began to droop due to the excess mass. My left leg is similarly swollen. I’ve received scorn all my life because of my outward appearance. I didn’t have any friends growing up because kids were scared of looking at me. I know that beauty is skin deep, but I wish to live a life where I am not excluded and have the same opportunities in life as any other girl my age. A corrective surgery could fix my facial deformity and help me lead a normal life. Please help me come out of this misery”, says Geeta Bhandari.
