Livebaiting is hard! NZ Surfcasting

Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video I showcased the reality of what I went through for the past 3 months and how hard livebaiting can really be. I put in a lot of work and effort but that hardly rewarded me with the fish I was after and quite often usually its lot of work but so little reward. Nonetheless, despite the failures that you inevitable face in livebaiting, you definately learn a lot of tips and tricks. For example, I've learnt that you can catch koheru mackerel off the wharf and that there is a reason why they are ranked as the number 1 livebait which was great to experience. Really do hope that I'll be able to land another kingfish which hopefully will be a larger fish. Although I was surprised that I didn't get a shark in this trip but hopefully my next livebaiting mission will be more successful than this one.
